Today I am displaying a paper pieced dog pillow. In the past, I had sewn paper pieced items, and had an "eh" feeling about it. But... this project! I love the whimsy of this dog!
I liked the way the pink bow added a little chic femininity here.
I threw caution to the wind and used a directional fabric for the dog background. The lines go every which way, and yet the colors keep everything together.
I decided on an envelope closure, because this doggie stitch is too cute not to use somewhere in this pillow.
Do you ever have one of those years where you just feel like this?
